make this website a helpful tool providing you information to
answer your questions about the department and its operations

The department is moving
toward a more community oriented approach in its policing practices.
The use of the Neighborhood Focus Program is an important part
of community policing. Officers are assigned specific geographical
areas and encouraged to interact with those residents and businesses
to promote the sharing of information. The establishment of that
link between a specific officer and citizen is important to the
two-way communication that we are seeking. I believe that the
more frequent the communication between officers and citizens,
the better informed the two will be. This facilitates a better
"quality of life" in the community and a better served
public by the department.
I am proud of the officers
and personnel that work for this agency. Each brings unique talents
and abilities to the city. Take a look at the information on
