ACQURING A COPY OF YOUR REPORT

Persons involved in an accident or victim of a crime can obtain a copy of their own report with a picture ID. There is no cost if the report is picked up at our office.

Normal office hours are Monday thru Friday from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM.

If you cannot make it there during those times, call 441-6289 and the Administrative Clerk will make a copy and set it aside. Call the Dispatch Center at 292-3622 when you are close to the office and they will have an officer meet you at the office to release the report.

We will not fax a report or records due to our concern for identity theft and the information contained within the reports.

Insurance companies and attorneys (representing a client) can obtain a copy of a report. They need to send in a written request, a return stamped envelop and a $5.00 fee. They may also pick them up in person.

An alternative to getting accident reports as outlined above is to go to www.kyonlinereports.com to download the information and print them out. The cost of this service by the State of Kentucky is $10.00. To download the report you will need the following information:

 

Date of the accident
Last name of the person involved
The local Code
Badge number of the officer
And the Agency ORI - 0190900
